This policy describes what data the cardashlauncher.fun website and the CarDash Launcher app process, for what purpose, and how you can control it.

Website

The website does not require registration and has no forms for entering data.

The website does not use cookies or visitor counters.

The web server keeps standard request logs: IP address, time, requested page and browser details. The logs are used to operate and protect the website.

App

CarDash Launcher does not require registration, contains no ads or analytics, and does not send data about you or your device to the developer. Settings, weather cache and selected backgrounds are stored only on the device.

All permissions are optional. Each one is needed for a specific feature:

• Notification access — showing the current track and controlling music in any player. The app receives only active media session data: title, artist, cover art and playback state. Notification text is not read.
• Location — weather for your current location and the GPS satellites widget.
• Bluetooth — connection to an ELM327 OBD adapter. Vehicle data is shown on the screen and is not sent over the network.
• Accessibility — the Back, Home and Recents buttons on the bottom bar. The service performs only these actions and does not read screen content.
• File access — your own backgrounds, videos and music from the device. Files do not leave the device.
• Modify system settings — screen brightness in day and night modes.
• Install apps — installing launcher updates.

Network requests made by the app

The app contacts external services only for weather and updates. As with any internet request, the service receives the device IP address.

• Weather — Yandex Weather, wttr.in or Open-Meteo, depending on the selected source and language. The app sends the location coordinates (from location services or the city you entered) or the city name.
• Location lookup — if location is unavailable and no city is set, the location is determined by IP address via ipwho.is, ipapi.co or geojs.io. The place name for coordinates is requested from BigDataCloud.
• Updates — checking for a new version and downloading the APK from GitHub or Mail.ru Cloud.

These services process requests under their own terms.

Storage and deletion

App data is deleted together with the app or via Android Settings → Apps → CarDash Launcher → Clear data.

Your rights

You can request information about the processing of your data, its correction or deletion, and withdraw consent via the CarDash Telegram channel.

The current version is always published on this page. The effective date is shown at the top.
